A Collection of Passion
For the Dieter Meier Collection of premium wines, we produce 2,000 limited edition bottles in collaboration with Argentina's most renowned oenologists.
Edition # 1 was produced with a special method called microvinification. Here, malbec grapes were handpicked and selected for their quality from exceptional vineyards in Vista Flores, a region known as the mecca for producing the best wines and healthiest vines in all of Argentina.
Then, the grapes are fermented for seven weeks in French oak barrels. In order to improve the extraction of the grape skins, the barrels are manually rolled back and forth five times per day. This method enables the juices to optimally combine with the wood from the oak.
After fermentation, the wine is pressed and filled back into the same barrels for 18 months of ageing. This method of microvinification is also used by well known chateaux in Bordeaux, and in Mendoza, we have achieved excellent results.
The Eye of the Island
Grown high above the sea on old terraces with barren limestone soils, the grapes ripen in the glistening sun. Ibiza has always had something magical, even mystical. The vineyard is in the middle of nowhere. There were no roads, only the rocks, the land, the sea, and the sun.
The grape composition varies every year, depending upon the best grapes harvested. We use a Marselan base, which was selected by the oenologist Alain Bramaz, as it is optimally suited to the island climate and soil conditions. The wine is produced entirely by hand in small quanities.
Unusual and surprising, a spiritual expression of the island. Extremely limited availability.
Bubbles from the Andes
The Ojo de Agua Extra Brut is produced by the Champagne method (bottle fermentation), with a very small amount of sugar. The strong sparkling wine has a luxurious finesse, and wonderful creaminess. Pop it open for an instant celebration.
